History

Gino’s doors opened in 1962 by Gino Branchinelli, also the founder of Gino’s Italian Ices and the inspiration behind so many other establishments that borrowed his name. Born in a coastal town in Italy, Gino instantly fell in love with Long Beach, The City by the Sea… The scent of the ocean air intermingling with the cooking of Italian food served up memories of holidays, love and family. Gino’s not only became the second home to his family, but also to our loyal customers … Our community is the most important ingredient to our lasting success.

Over 55 years later, Gino’s continues to serve generous portions of quality Italian food at an affordable price. Today, Gino’s is succeeded by his grandchildren, who grew up working at his side. It is their honor and legacy to continue to welcome you to Gino’s.
